Brothers Zeke and Zeb Turner were both superb guitarists and both contributed session work on some classic Hank Willams recordings (eg: Zeb on Wedding Bells!). Both took early to the electric guitar, and our collection of Zeb’s recordings kicks off with Zeb’s superb landmark recording of Mountain Boogie. He is nowadays best remembered through his song writing credits (including the classic It’s A Sin, which charted for Eddy Arnold and Marty Robbins and was also recorded by George Jones and Don Gibson as well as Elvis). But he was also a superb and distinctive vocalist, here heard mainly on his own compositions.
