May 3rd. Anniversary of Patsy Montana (Ruby Rose Blevins) (October 30, 1908 – May 3, 1996), American country music singer/ songwriter and the first female country singer to chalk up a million sales single with her 1935 “I Want to Be a Cowboys Sweetheart”. Patsy recorded this yodelling classic song many times over the years, including a 1985 duet with Rattlesnake Annie (surprisingly, this was Patsys first time to record in Nashville). That duet appears on Rattlesnakes “Some Stories Never End” CD http://www.rattlesnakeannie.com/catalog.htm
