Swinging In San Diego – Various Artistes 1946-51. BACM 645

Rare recordings from the San Diego area , many not previously commercially recorded. Our thanks are due to Kevin Coffey for all the hard work which went into this production. Fans of Western Swing will enjoy this, bringing us the sounds which were entertaining in the Bars, Honky Tonks and Dance Halls throughout the great South West and surrounding States during the post war years. Most of the tracks are rare and possibly not commercially recorded. So, 70 years on, lend your ears to the thrill of this country-tinged swing music bouncing along the air waves and helping lift the spirits of a population who had only recently lived through the troubles of WW2.
