September 6th. Remembering Ernest Tubb, (February 9, 1914 – September 6, 1984), legendary honky tonk singer whose performing career began as a Jimmie Rodgers imitator. BACM have so far issued one dedicated CD, rare radio transcriptions from 1944. Also, several of Tubbs hit recordings from the 50s and 60s are featured on our Country Memories series.
