25 June, birthday of Glenn Tubb (Glenn Douglas Tubb, b. 25th June 1935) hard-edged country singer-songwriter, nowadays best remembered for his skills as a songwriter having penned hits for the likes of George Jones & Tammy Wynette, Johnny Cash and The Wilburn Brothers. Now in his 80s, he continues to play an important role keeping the Tubb name in front of audiences through his involvement with the Midnight Jamboree, founded by his uncle, Ernest Tubb in 1947
