11th June – remembering Jim Ed Brown (James Edward Brown, April 1, 1934 – June 11, 2015), American smooth-baritone-voiced country singer-songwriter who with sisters Maxine and Bonnie scored several worldwide hits in the 1950s as The Browns. Biggest, The Three Bells, reached No. 1 on the Billboard pop charts. After The Browns split in 1967, Jim Ed continued to hit the charts, both with solo recordings and, from 1976, duetting with Helen Cornelius.
